The label on my bottles features a renewed image of Canus, the grey-haired senex of great wisdom, within the scenario of the complex and important Friuli wine industry. I was inspired by him, placing myself under the protection of a regional tradition that identifies my family with the name Gris˜n - the grey-haired man. This feeling of belonging to the land where vines reign supreme, drove my entrepreneurial spirit to match the standards of a famous past in terms of product quality. So, amidst the gently rolling Eastern Friuli Hills, washed by the waters of the Judrio river, which marks the border with the equally fertile Collio area, I use my grapes to produce wines in the style of the area's most authentic tradition. Like Canus, I stand in these vineyards that produced their first harvest in late summer 2004, and look into the distance with a founder's pride, in the awareness of the step that has been taken.
