Indigenous variety cultivated mainly in the hills. In the past it was blended with Tocai, which added longevity and freshness with a pleasantly sharp note. Today the variety is vinified pure in both still and sparkling versions. Richly acidic with medium body, this wine goes well with fish starters and main courses, shellfish and seafood.
